The 183 Pages of Text of the Supreme Court Opinions

Post by johnkarls »

Editorial Notes =

(1) Clicking on the file below will save the opinions as an Adobe file 183 pages long to your computer. Be sure to click on the left-hand Adobe menu before hitting the "save" button, or it will be saved on your "desktop" rather than in your "my documents" or whatever.

(2) If you don't have Adobe on your computer, you will have to download a version from the internet. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court's web site has its opinions only in Adobe format to prevent a user from altering them.

(3) If you enlarge the display of the file to make it easier to read (an Adobe file typically opens at 73% and displays two pages on each screen), then be careful!!! Substituting, say, 150% for the 73% on your Adobe menu will make each page much more readible BUT THE POTENTIAL PROBLEM IS THAT YOUR DISPLAY MAY THEN ONLY BE SHOWING THE EVEN-NUMBERED OR ODD-NUMBERED PAGES -- SO AFTER READING EVERY OTHER PAGE, YOU MIGHT HAVE TO SCROLL RIGHT RATHER THAN DOWN TO FIND THE NEXT PAGE!!!
