NYC Harvard Club Book Promotion – “Our Broken Elections: How the Left Changed the Way You Vote”

I propose that we read Harvard Club of NYC book promotion “Our Broken Elections: How the Left Changed the Way You Vote” by John Fund and Hans von Spakovsky (Encounter Books 11/2/2021 – 236 pages sans notes and index – Hardcover $26.58 + shipping or $9.99 Kindle from Amazon.com).

John Fund, former head of the editorial page of the Wall Street Journal, has been called “the Tom Paine of the modern Congressional reform movement.” Here, in partnership with Hans von Spakovsky, research director of the Heritage Foundation think tank in Washington, he applies his incisive insights to one of the most critical issues facing our nation today: election integrity.

Election fraud is as American as apple pie. It occurs thousands of times, more often than you like to think. In their new book Our Broken Elections: How the Left Changed the Way You Vote, Fund and von Spakovsky document numerous examples of elections that got overturned by the courts. They even document a presidential candidate who had been cheated out of the presidency: Hillary Clinton (not by Trump operatives but by Obama’s). In the 2020 election, they expose the “elephant in the room”: the $350 million given by Mark Zuckerberg to help local government officials increase turnout in favor of the Democrats.

Ever wonder why Mexico requires voter ID? Or why Jimmy Carter denounced mail-in absentee ballots as “the largest source of potential voter fraud”? Or why most European countries ban “postal voting”?

For a variety of reasons, election fraud is very difficult to detect and prove. In his talk, Fund will explain how easy it is for operatives to rig election results and what we need to do to fix the problem.

This program will be held in-person at the Club.
