1. Does the very first page of “When Race Trumps Merit” (hereinafter “WRTM”) posit that the race riots of 2020 produced a sea change in American culture – that whether an institution is RACIST is determined by “disparate impact” or, in other words, whether a faculty, student body, whatever, is less than 13% black (the percentage of the national population that is black)?

2. Was “WRTM” published 4/18/2023 while “Students for Fair Admission vs. Harvard” was pending in the U.S. Supreme Court?

3. Accordingly, was “WRTM”, inter alia, a de facto Amicus Curiae brief in “Students for Fair Admissions vs. Harvard”?

4. BTW, was another of our “Possible Topics for Future Meetings” (Sec. 3 of www.ReadingLiberally-SaltLake.org) another de facto Amicus Curiae brief in “Students for Fair Admissions vs. Harvard” – viz., “The Essential Constitutionality of Affirmative Action” by Lee Bollinger (President of Columbia University since 2002 while simultaneously serving as a constitutional law professor at Columbia U. Law School)?

5. Nevertheless, unlike Lee Bollinger’s de facto amicus brief, isn’t “WRTM” intended by Heather Mac Donald to be a much-broader critique of current American society than a mere Supreme Court Amicus brief?

Section B – America’s Permanent 30% Under-Caste and Addressing The Cause Of Racism (vs. A Mere Symptom)

1. Have we often studied over the years how the 178 “I Have A Dream”® Programs in 51 American cities during the 1990’s adopted EVERY third grader in an inner-city school (or EVERY third grader in a public-housing project) and provided each with a tutor and a mentor through high school graduation with a guarantee of college tuition?

2. Have we also studied how those programs were typically able to transform the SINGLE-DIGIT high school graduation rate for the class just ahead of the Dreamer Class and just behind to more than 90%?

3. Have we also studied how the children in those situations already know by age 5 that they are NOT eligible for their dreams – that their only realistic career objectives are pusher or pimp, or girl-friend of a pusher/pimp graduating to whore?

4. Accordingly, is it any wonder that children in such situations drop out of school??? After all, does being a pusher/pimp or whore require a high school education???

5. So why should anyone be surprised that America developed a Permanent 30% Under-Caste as chronicled over the last half-century in the numerous books of Jonathan Kozol such as “Death at an Early Age: The Destruction of the Hearts and Minds of Negro Children in the Boston Public School System” (1967) to “The Shame of the Nation: The Restoration of Apartheid Schooling in America” (2006)?

6. According to Jonathan Kozol, is the Permanent 30% Under-Caste illiterate as defined by the ability to read the warning label on a can of rat poison?

7. Have we studied that the earliest “I Have A Dream”® programs typically transformed SINGLE-DIGIT high school graduation rates to 65% - 70% BUT THIS MASKED THE FACT THAT MORE THAN 90% OF THE MALES WERE GRADUATING WHILE 50% OF THE FEMALES WERE BECOMING PREGNANT AND DROPPING OUT?

8. Were we able to ascertain that the reason why 50% of the females were becoming pregnant was that they felt there was NOBODY in their lives who loved them and, by God, they were going to create a baby who would?

9. And to ascertain that the reason why the 50% who did not, had had one of our tutors/mentors (virtually all of whom became surrogate parents) who had said early and often to the Dreamer – you could make something of yourself with this program AND IT WOULD BREAK MY HEART IF YOU DIDN’T???!!!

10. HOWEVER, did those 178 IHAD programs in 51 American cities serve only approximately 15,000 students?

11. Are Sections 4 and 5 of www.ReadingLibrally-SaltLake.org entitled “Inner-City Holocaust and America's Apartheid ‘Justice’ System (In Honor of Jonathan Kozol and In Memory of John Howard Griffin)”?

12. Do Sections 4 and 5 contain zillions of legal briefs, court opinions, etc., that document how the courts prevented $84 billion of private financing to take “I Have A Dream”® to scale – serving 10 million inner-city children – pursuant to which our unsuccessful Petition for Certiorari asking the U.S. Supreme Court to hear our case specified the “question presented” as –

“Can state court judges order their decisions which they know are diametrically-opposed to well-settled law, not to be published or cited (a strategy labeled ‘the segregated toilet’ in correspondence with 51 inner-city clergy who represent the 10 million inner-city children who have been disclosed from the outset as the ‘real parties at interest’ in this law suit) in order to flush away the rights of the 10 million inner-city children without disturbing the rights of first-class American citizens -- without violating the ‘Equal Protection of the Law’ requirement of the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution?”

13. Do Sections 4 and 5 also contain 3 letters sent during the course of the litigation to each of 21 national and California governmental officials STARTING WITH PRESIDENT OBAMA, imploring each of them to file Amicus Curiae briefs (which would have been routine for most of them)? Did all of them shun our pleas???

14. Does Sec. 5 contain our final report to each of the 51 inner-city clergy from San Francisco, Los Angeles and Oakland who had been supporting the cause “in order to (A) inform them that the US Supreme Court on 10/4/2011 refused to hear our appeal, (B) thank them for their efforts with the solace that each of us would be able to say at The Pearly Gates with St. Paul (II Timothy 4:7): “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” and (C) request them and their congregants to pray for the 43 news-media superstars, the 21 governmental officials, the California judges and the U.S. Supreme Court Justices, that MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON THEIR SOULS!!!”???

15. Did President Obama bear special responsibility for this travesty because as a “community organizer” on Chicago’s South Side in the 1990’s, he had to be aware of the dozen-or-so IHAD programs there??? Indeed, did he appoint as his U.S. Secretary of Education a former Harvard basketball player who had served as “Project Coordinator” (i.e., Executive Director) of one of those Chicago South-Side IHAD Programs???

16. Has President Obama’s responsibility for this travesty often caused us, despite wishing him a long life, to opine that his epitaph should be –

Barack Hussein Obama
America’s First “Token” Black President
He “Knew His Place” on The Establishment’s “Plantation”
He Condemned 10 Million Inner-City Children to “A Fate Worse Than Death”

Section C – REDUX: America’s Permanent 30% Under-Caste and Addressing The Cause Of Racism (vs. A Mere Symptom)

Was the focus book for our 6/3/2020 meeting Jonathan Kozol’s “The Shame of the Nation: The Restoration of Apartheid Schooling in America” (2006) which exposed all of the conditions leading up to the DE FACTO REVOCATION OF “BROWN VS. BOARD OF EDUCATION” BY THE U.S. SUPREME COURT’S “PARENTS VS. SEATTLE SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1” 551 U.S. 701 (2007)?

2. Fortuitously vis-à-vis timing, did the NY Times Editorial Page Editor e-mail me personally on 5/11/2020 to request my views on his “The Keys To Unlocking Human Potential” project which had just been announced?

3. Did Yours Truly respond within 3 hours with most of the information contained in this Short Quiz and ending with –

“We would be delighted if you could “shine a light” on America’s “Apartheid” (Jonathan Kozol’s term) educational system and its Permanent 30% Under-Caste. Did Yours Truly follow up 2 days later with an e-mail to the NY Times Editorial Page Editor with a fully-developed proposal for how the equivalent of IHAD programs for 10 million inner-city children could be achieved with a FEDERAL “Magnet Schools” Program (Federal in order to avoid constitutional-law obstacles for state/local governments imposed by the Supreme Court in “Parents vs. Seattle School District No. 1”)?

5. Was, UNFORTUNATELY, the NY Times Editorial Page Editor fired for unrelated reasons shortly after the follow-up e-mail was sent?

6. Did his successor, Ms. Kathleen Kingsbury, resume the NY Times policy of studiously ignoring inner-city education???

7. Meanwhile, did our 6/3/2020 meeting result in launching one of our “Six Degrees of Separation” E-mail Campaigns to Joseph R. Biden Jr. explaining the concept of Federal Magnet Schools to simulate IHAD Programs and imploring him to support the idea?

8. UNFORTUNATELY, has Joseph R. Biden Jr. as President for the last 2.5 years, like the NY Times, “turned a blind eye” to inner-city K-12 education and how to improve it?

Section D – Some Closing “Thought Questions” Re Students for Fair Admission vs. Harvard

1. Is “affirmative action” in college admissions much too late to solve SINGLE-DIGIT inner-city high-school graduation rates?

2. Even if it weren’t, doesn’t race-based “affirmative action” simply mean that Harvard admits “minority” students from AFFLUENT “minority” families???

3. Wouldn’t Harvard students benefit from having in their classes, representatives from America’s Permanent 30% Under-Caste???

4. In other words, a representative percentage of pimps, pushers and whores???
