1. Was last month’s focus book “Poverty, by America” by Princeton Prof. Matthew Desmond?

2. BTW, had Prof. Desmond’s “Evicted” been a landmark bestseller and the focus book for our 5/18/2016 meeting?

3. In focusing on “Poverty, by America,” did our meeting materials catalogue action our non-partisan public-policy study/action group had taken in four areas –

(A) Exporting American Jobs – most-recent campaign at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1215&sid=7a37777da ... 10371c56ea.

(B) Educating America’s Permanent 30% Under-Caste – most-recent campaign at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1925&sid=7a37777da ... 10371c56ea.

(C) The United Nations Two-Decade War on Modern-Day Slavery – most-recent campaign at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1828&sid=7a37777da ... 10371c56ea.

(D) Saving the Fed Gov $86 Billion/YEAR by Enacting “Medicare For All” – most-recent campaign at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1869&sid=7a37777da ... 10371c56ea – NB: explanation re to whom it was directed at viewtopic.php?f=757&t=2393&sid=7a37777d ... 10371c56ea.

4. Did the Suggested Discussion Outline for last month’s meeting on “Poverty, by America” suggest that, inter alia, we review these four actions from the viewpoint of whether their content was still current and whether they should be re-directed?

5. Did the participants at our Sep 20 meeting agree that the content was still current and no re-direction was necessary for –

(B) Educating America’s Permanent 30% Under-Caste – most-recent campaign at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1925&sid=7a37777da ... 10371c56ea; and

10371c56ea.

6. Did the participants at our Sep 20 meeting agree that the content was still current but re-direction to President Biden was necessary for -

(C) The United Nations Two-Decade War on Modern-Day Slavery – most-recent campaign at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1828&sid=7a37777da ... 10371c56ea.

7. Was the content of that campaign re-directed to President Biden on 9/22/2023 by FedEx?

8. Did the participants at our Sep 20 meeting agree that the content might require substantial revision before re-direction to President Biden for –

(A) Exporting American Jobs – most-recent campaign at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1215&sid=7a37777da ... 10371c56ea.

9. Had that campaign against Exporting American Jobs been directed at President Obama on 2/12/2014?

10. And had it comprised a plea to REVIVE 1968 Executive Order 11387 which had created the Foreign Direct Investment Program that restricted capital outflows from the U.S.?

11. If American capital is prevented from fleeing to low-cost countries such as China, then are American workers who are then backed by higher capital assets more productive and, therefore, more valuable?

12. Even though President Obama ignored our plea and entered into numerous so-called “free trade” agreements that exported American jobs -- within 3 years of our 2/12/2014 plea was President Trump working to halt the Export of American Jobs (and bring them back) with import tariffs?

13. Is the difference between how foreign-exchange controls and import tariffs protect domestic jobs explained in “Combatting the Exportation of American Jobs with Foreign Exchange Controls vs. Import Tariffs“ at viewtopic.php?f=759&t=2397&sid=bc95d3bb ... eb2afa5856?

14. Did the Suggested Discussion Outline for our Sep 20 meeting explain that we should re-consider whether to base any new campaign against Exporting American Jobs on import tariffs rather than foreign-exchange controls?

15. Accordingly, did the Suggested Discussion Outline urge the selection of “No Trade Is Free” as the focus for our Oct 18 meeting so that we could more-knowledgeably address this issue?

16. BTW, is Yours Truly barred from voting for the following month’s focus book except to break ties?

17. So should we launch a new campaign against the Exportation of American Jobs?

18. And, if so, should it be based on import tariffs rather than foreign-exchange controls?
