First Short Quiz – Three Israeli-Palestinian “Two State” Disasters – Could “The Fourth Time Be The Charm”???

Post by johnkarls »

.

1. Has Stuart Eizenstat written a masterful book (with a forward by Henry Kissinger and a preface by James Baker III) comprising (A) 328 pages of incredible detail in negotiating every major agreement of the modern era, and (B) another 36 pages describing 12 essential principles for successful negotiations?

2. Was Stuart Eizenstat intimately involved in several of the negotiations he describes – having served in five positions requiring U.S. Senate confirmation including Ambassador to the European Union?

3. When not serving the U.S. Government, has Stuart Eizenstat been (and is he still) a member of Covington & Burling – Washington DC’s most prestigious law firm?

4. As a life-long friend of Israel and head of many U.S. national Jewish organizations, has Stuart Eizenstat also spearheaded several successful negotiations to get the German Government to support destitute Jewish victims of The Holocaust, including the Russian-Jewish survivors of the Siege of Leningrad?

5. Is “The Art of Diplomacy” a de facto application to serve as head of a U.S. negotiating team to facilitate a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians?

6. Is “The Art of Diplomacy” also a de facto blueprint to serve as a guide for any other head of a U.S. negotiating team to facilitate a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians?

Hurdle A – THREE Already-Failed “Two State” Solutions

7. Is this a daunting, if not impossible task, because THREE other “two state” solutions have already failed?

8. Was the first FAILED “two state” solution all the way back in 1948 when the United Nations Resolution 181 partitioned Palestine into what the Resolution called a “Jewish State” and an “Arab State” based on who owned what even though the Jewish State and Arab State resembled a “checker board” of land ownership - with Israel accepting U.N. Resolution 181 and immediately being invaded by Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon?

9. Was the second FAILED “two state” solution engineered by President Clinton in 2000 which was (A) widely reported to comprise an agreement between Israel and Yassir Arafat, Chairman of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and President of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) which at that time governed both Gaza and the West Bank, BUT (B) widely reported to be renounced by Yasir Arafat upon his return from Camp David because he had not prepared his people for peace with Israel and he was likely to be assassinated?

10. Was the third FAILED “two state” solution the unilateral Israeli withdrawal from Gaza in 2005 which has resulted in virtually constant attacks ever since, eventually culminating in the current Israel/Gaza War?

Hurdle B – No Recognition of Israel’s “Right to Exist’

11. Is THE BASIC PROBLEM that Palestinians do not recognize Israel’s right to exist?

12. Is this based on “THE BIG PALESTINIAN LIE” that the United Nations in 1948 stole land from the Palestinians and gave it to the Jews?

13. Is this a lie because in 1948 the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine (UNSCOP) simply tabulated who owned what as a result of the policy of the Arab Empire and Ottoman Empire since 738 A.D. that everyone including Jews were welcome to purchase land?

14. And that UNSCOP (which did not include any of the great powers) ascertained that Palestine contained only 1,077,000 Muslims out of a total population of 1,846,000 – or 58.3%?

Hurdle C – Palestinians “Brain Washed” From The Cradle Since 1948

15. And is THE-EVEN-MORE-BASIC PROBLEM that since 1948, Palestinians have been “brain washed” since the cradle to believe THE BIG PALESTINIAN LIE???

Hurdle D – The Palestinian “Right of Return”

16. BTW, are there other complicating factors such as the famous “Right of Return”?

17. Vis-à-vis Palestinians, is the “right of return” based on a U.N. Proclamation giving such a right to Palestinians who lived in what is now Israel but became refugees as a result of the 1948 war?

18. HOWEVER, does the U.N. Proclamation limit the right to “refugees wishing…to live at peace with their neighbors”?

19. Is the U.N. requirement that the "refugees wishing… to live at peace with their neighbors” an INDIVIDUAL or a GROUP requirement?

20. If it is a GROUP requirement, doesn’t the Palestinian refusal to recognize Israel’s “right to exist” and the disaster of the 2005 unilateral Israeli withdrawal from Gaza indicate that, AS A GROUP, Palestinians do NOT want “to live at peace with their neighbors”?

21. BTW, were there more Jewish refugees displaced from the Arab countries as a result of the 1948 War than Palestinian refugees who were displaced from what became Israel? Have these Jewish refugees gone elsewhere, in effect vanishing?

22. Also BTW, does the U.N. administer the Palestinian Refugees through a separate agency (UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees or UNRWA) while grouping all other refugees around the world in a different but single agency?

23. Although there were only between 520 thousand and a million Palestinian refugees in 1948, are there about 6 million today scattered across three countries, the West Bank and Gaza?

24. Is Israel’s population, according to the CIA’s “World Factbook” (https://www.cia.gov/the-world-factbook/ ... nd-society) 9,407,617 – which is 73.5% Jewish, 21.2% Arab and 5.4% other?

25. Doesn’t simple math indicate that Israel only has 9,407,617 * 73.5% or 6,914,598 Jews?

26. And doesn’t simple math indicate that if 6 million Palestinian refugees were added to Israel’s 9,407,617 * 21.2% (or 1,994,415) Arab population, the Arabs population would out-number the Jewish population by approximately 1.1 million?

Hurdle E – The Notorious Obama/Biden “Iran Nuclear Deal”

27. Did Pres. Obama conclude on 7/14/2015 his beloved “Iran Nuclear Deal” which he did not deign to send to the U.S. Senate for ratification like any other treaty?

28. Are the most glaring inadequacies of the “Iran Nuclear Deal” (as noted in our “action campaigns”) that –

(A) It guarantees Iran nuclear weapons by 2030; and

(B) It does NOT provide for “anytime anywhere” inspections; and

(C) It does NOT impede at all Iran’s development of nuclear-capable short-range and inter-continental ballistic missiles (which are typically launched with such slogans painted on their sides as “Death to Israel” and “Death to the Big Satan” aka the United States – BTW, Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has often, even in the wake of the JCPOA, led crowds in chants of “Death to America”).

29. Did Pres. Trump take the U.S. out of the UNCONSTITUTIONAL (i.e., Unratified) Iran Nuclear Deal? Like any other treaty, does International Law recognize that UNLIKE CONTRACTS WHICH ARE BINDING, treaties are only valid so long as the parties continue to agree?

30. On 1/20/2020 (Pres. Biden’s Inauguration Day), did we send him by FedEd Overnight a plea noting the 3 glaring problems outlined in Q-28 and imploring him NOT to re-enter the Iran Nuclear Deal unless they were corrected?

31. Did Pres. Biden nonetheless GROVEL to be let back into the Iran Nuclear Deal? Did his GROVELING even take the form of designating Russian President Putin as our intermediary because Ayatollah Khamenei refused to deal directly with the U.S.?

32. Was Pres. Biden’s GROVELING unsuccessful?

33. Did Pres. Trump, in addition to taking the U.S. out of the Iran Nuclear Deal, impose such sanctions on Iran, especially its ability to export oil & gas, that Iran was essentially bankrupt when Pres. Trump left office? Did this mean Iran was unable to fund any of their anti-Israel proxies such as Hamas in Gaza?

34. Did Pres. Biden remove all of the sanctions on Iran and even find ingenious ways to provide them with additional cash? Did this enable Iran once again to fund all of their anti-Israel proxies such as Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon?

35. BTW, is Pres. Trump’s support of Israel against Iran the reason for Iran’s widely-reported on-going attempt to assassinate him and his close associates such as former Sec’y of State and CIA Director Mike Pompeo?

36. Are we likely to discover that Iran’s policy to assassinate Pres. Trump is embedded in fatwās issued by Iran Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei?

37. Are we likely to discover that if our fondest (but probably irrelevant) hope that Ayatollah Khamenei who is 85 will not last much longer, his fatwās to assassinate Pres. Trump et al. will outlive him?

38. After all, didn’t the Brits in negotiating to restore diplomatic relations upon the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in 1989 have rejected their request for the revocation of the fatwā to assassinate Salman Rushdie for his “Satanic Verses” (Salmon Rushdie had fled to the U.K. where he became a citizen)?

39. Was Iran’s rejection based on the Islamic Law that only the issuer of a fatwā can revoke it and the issuer was Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini who was now dead?

40. Was Salman Rushdie stabbed and nearly killed on 8/12/2022 as a result of the fatwā?

41. But back on topic, why should Hamas and the Palestinians give up their life-long “brain washed” dream of “throwing all Israelis into the sea”?

42. After all, aren’t they on the winning (i.e., Iranian) side?

43. And even if they don’t succeed for the foreseeable future, haven’t they been assured by Ayatollah Khamenei and even non-Iranian Islamic Theologians that Islamic Martyrs and 72 close relatives by-pass a truly-fearsome Judgment Day and go directly to Heaven?

Hurdle F – Pres. Obama’s “Turning A Deaf Ear” to our 10/14/2009 Plea for a Palestinian “Marshall Plan”

44. On 10/14/2009, did we implore Pres. Obama to provide a “Marshall Plan” for the Palestinians so that the world would never have to face its present predicament?

45. Did Pres. Obama, as was his wont, shun our plea?

46. On 12/16/2023, did we re-direct our plea for a Palestinian “Marshall Plan” to Pres. Biden?

47. Did Pres. Biden, as is his wont, shun our plea?

Hurdle G – The Jewish Bible Prophecies That Israel Will Be Destroyed By Iran

48. Does the Jewish Bible (aka Christian Old Testament) prophecy in Ezekial, Jeremiah and Daniel that Israel will be destroyed by “The Bear of the North”?

49. Did Israeli Theologians believe historically that “The Bear of the North” was a reference to the Soviet Union?

50. HOWEVER, when Pres. Jimmy Carter replaced the Shah of Iran with Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, did the Israeli Theologians shift their belief that Persia (aka Iran) was the “Bear of the North” that would destroy Israel?

51. Did they note that Tehran is north of Jerusalem (even though it is even further east than north)?

52. As an apparently-devout Jew, does Stuart Eizenstat believe the Jewish Bible prophecies? Or does he interpret them away?

The Gold Medal For Clearing ALL The Hurdles

53. If Stuart Eizenstat can overcome all these hurdles, does he not only deserve a Nobel Peace Prize BUT ALSO TO BE RANKED WITH MOSES COMING DOWN MOUNT SINAI TO SAVE HIS PEOPLE???
